Business Spotlight: Swiss Flower & Gift

Heidi Haas Sheard, owner of Swiss and Flower Gift shop refers to this business that has been in the community for over 55 years as her “happy place”. Localworks is honored to feature some of her story for this month’s business spotlight!

When my parents moved from Wisconsin in 1969, we lived in the tiny house located on the property.  Growing up in a family business is such a blessing.  Having two amazing parents to instill in me great work ethics and providing me with the creative and business skills that has allowed me to grow the original Swiss Flower Shoppe into the “Urban Chalet” that truly showcases my love for what I get to do everyday for the past 35 years…. I’m living a dream.

Fun Facts:

* In September it will be 6 years that we will have been in the new “Urban Chalet” I designed and built right next to the original shop.    * Fun video to watch on the development of the new building.  https://youtu.be/MmjCOZ9-tJg

* We are so much more than a Flower shop!  If it makes me happy, it is something you can find in what has evolved into an amazing curated gift and home decor destination.

* I go hunting for the freshest and unique flowers available on almost a daily basis ensuring only the most exquisite flowers get to be shared with you.

* Every day we get to meet new customers as they comment,  “I’ve driven by here for years, and have always wanted to stop in.”     So, have you wondered and wanted to stop???   We thought we would test this theory and do a give away to our Localworks community who have read this newsletter.     All you have to do is turn the wheel and visit this Wheat Ridge gem and mention this email.  We will be doing a drawing for a $100 floral/gift on August 1st.

We are fortunate to have so many loyal customers who visit on a regular basis to stroll through our wonderful selection of curated gifts and home decor, order flowers or just to visit and say hi to Scruffy.

We are all excited to share “Our Happy Place” with you.
