Colorado Gives Day 2023: Easily the best day to give
Bar Stool Bingo is BACK!
Localworks is excited to announce that Bar Stool Bingo is BACK! This Colorado Gives Day, Tuesday, December 5th, is easily the best day to give! Join us at Esters from 6:00-8:30 pm for a special Colorado Gives Day fundraising event. Localworks is seeking your donation for our Cash for Connection campaign. We can’t wait to see you there – your first drink is on us!
So, what exactly is Bar Stool Bingo? A super fun and highly-anticipated fundraising event! You can think of it as a modified version of regular bingo; however, with Wheat Ridge’s rich history in agriculture we want to lean in and involve some of our prized poultry pals. This will be Localworks’ second-annual Bar Stool Bingo – essentially it’s our take on a very popular, originally Texan, bar game called Chicken S#!T Bingo.
Here’s how the game works: participating players purchase a raffle ticket that has the same letter/number combinations as it would on a BINGO card (i.e. B-36, O-37, etc.), but instead of everyone having their own board, it’s played as a single, sudden-death round of BINGO and the winner is “chosen” by the chicken. What? How can the winner be chosen by a chicken?! I’m glad you asked! First and foremost, we can assure you that chickens are safe, warm, happy, and especially well-fed. They will be off-site, on their farm, in a specialty coop built just for them! The chickens will eat their dinner and then…um…process their food. You know what they say: what goes in, must come out! Well, when the droppings come out they’ll land on a BINGO square – and THAT tells us our winner! Sometimes a “result” can take a few minutes, but based on last year’s event we know we will be able to play several rounds over the course of our two hour event.
We know it sounds silly! And we want you to have fun! But this is MORE than just a game – all proceeds from this night will go directly to Localworks Cash for Connection campaign. Thanks to our presenting sponsor, Bob Dubois, your trusted local roofer, the first $2,000 of donations will be matched!

Localworks’ mission is to make Wheat Ridge a more vibrant and sustainable place to live and work. What does that really mean? It means connection. Localworks is the connection between residents and businesses. Localworks is connection to cleaner and revitalized neighborhoods. Localworks is connection to neighbors.
Localworks is connection to creativity, entrepreneurship and innovation through the Clear Creek Makerspace (CCM). Launching in early 2024, CCM is a 7,500 sqft community workshop powered by Localworks. CCM will be able to extend a growing, comprehensive offering of tools, equipment and resources such as woodworking, crafting, metalwork, advanced prototyping and much more!
