Live Locals are back for the end of the Summer

Join us Wednesday, August 23rd 2023 from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm for another Live Local event! This event will highlight Seniors Resource Center.  They are located at 3227 Chase Street, Wheat Ridge, CO. The Seniors Resource Center provides services focused on enhancing independence and quality of life for older adults, their families, and their caregivers. Headquartered in Wheat Ridge, SRC is a social impact 501(c)3 organization. SRC’s mission is to be a community partner providing person-focused, coordinated services to enhance independence, dignity, and quality of life. SRC has assisted older adults for 45 years, a testament to its evidence-based, client-focused programming. Services include care management,  in-home non-medical care, facility-based respite care, and support services that assist clients to age in place. Through this work, SRC is disrupting older adult stereotypes, ensuring neighborhoods stay intergenerational, and assisting clients to remain independent.

Helping older adults live rich and rewarding lives while remaining independent impacts all of us. Seniors make up 33% of Colorado’s population, and in the next ten years Colorado expects 39% growth in the population over 60. SRC is here to advocate for both older adults and their caregivers as well as help employers with their workforce relating to aging. In fact, 44% of surveyed employees are or have been recently involved in caregiving. 35% have missed work days to do this. Over 40% have had to rearrange their work schedules to help provide that care. Our corporate partners help us carry out the important work we do in the community.
