Calling all makers and creators! We are creating a makerspace in Wheat Ridge. All are welcome to join us on this journey! You can sign up here.
We are meeting at the Localworks Offices located at 7530 W. 38th Ave. We office in the former preschool classrooms of the Wheat Ridge United Methodist Church. This is a terrific space that allows us to have a small-scale makerspace. So, come and create with us!
DEFINITIONS:
MAKER: A person who enjoys making, creating, dreaming, collaborating, exploring limits, and innovating.
MAKERSPACE: It is a community-operated physical space where people with common interests in building, making, computers, technology, science, and art can meet, socialize, and collaborate. Makerspaces can be viewed as open community labs incorporating elements of machine shops, workshops and studios where makers, creators, artists, engineers, entrepreneurs and anyone else who wants to learn, teach and create can come together to share resources, tools and knowledge to build and make things.
