Join Localworks, the Wheat Ridge Theater Company and the Active Transportation Advisory Team (ATATs) for a spooky Live Local event!
We are hosting a costume contest and cruiser ride! Please meet us in costume at 5:30 p.m. at the “Green!” Please also wear a helmet. Wheels will hit the pavement at 5:30(ish), if you are running late we will do our best to wait for you! The route was created by the ATATs and plans to see some awesome Halloween decorations along the way. The route will end at Wheat Ridge Theater Company for a pre-play reception!
Cruisers are expected to arrive at Wheat Ridge Theater Company between 6:00-6:15. At this time we invite other community members to meet us there in costume as well!
At Wheat Ridge Theater Company participants can expect refreshments provided by Localworks! Around 6:30 p.m. we will announce the winners of the costume contest. There will be first place, second place and third place prizes! All prizes will be gift certificates to local Wheat Ridge Businesses.
Also at 6:30 p.m. the Wheat Ridge Theater Company will open its doors for the production of “Woman in Black!” Localworks encourages all participants to stay for the play! In fact, we are offering FREE tickets to the first 10 people to register for this event, and select that they will attend the play.
This is a horror play. Due to its scary nature, entrance is limited to those aged 16 years and above. This is a request made by Wheat Ridge Theater company. For this reason, we have an alternative activity for those who will not be staying for the show. Those that choose to not attend the show are welcome to hop back on their bikes at 6:45 p.m. and ride to Colorado Plus Brew Pub to continue to hang out with other cruisers! For those who choose to stay, the Wheat Ridge Theater Company is allowing indoor bike storage for the duration of the show.
Any questions regarding this event can be directed to awash@wearelocalworks.org.
We hope to see you there!
