Get Active in Your Community

Localworks Active strives to encourage community members to lead a more physically active and healthy life while building and strengthening friendships. Throughout the year we provide activities like:

Run/Walk Club – Meet new neighbors and friends at Localworks’ summer running and walking club. June through August, we meet every Tuesday at 6:30pm at Right Coast Pizza. We will have route maps for a one-, two-, or three-mile walk/run. Feel free to tailor the route to your needs each week. After your run/walk, join the group for a special deal on pizza and beer from Right Coast Pizza.

Cruiser Crawls – May through September, we will have a montly Cruiser Crawl. This is a family friendly bike ride that visits different restaurants, pubs, and parks in Wheat Ridge. See our full calendar of events for dates and destinations.

Fitness in the Park –  Join us for a free fitness class in the park! Every other Saturday, June through August, these classes will take place on the Green on Ridge at 38.

Check out our Calendar for upcoming events.

Get Your Green Thumb Going

Wheat Ridge has a proud history of agriculture, and Localworks Harvest provides an opportunity to learn about backyard farming and get your hands dirty with neighbors. Classes are for all levels and designed to help new growers get started and more seasoned producers brush up on their skills. Classes include  gardening, composting, cheese making, canning and more! We also have community events like the Food and Film Series, Crop Drop, and Sharing Food and Stories.

See our event calendar for upcoming events.
